Coordinator, Supply Chain Vendor Performance

Chicago Transit Authority Chicago, IL (Onsite) Full-Time

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews and coordinates resolutions for over shipments, under shipments, and miss picks reported from the stock rooms, storerooms, and warehouses. Tracks reported errors and forwards large dollar issues to Management staff for further review.
  • Coordinates cycle count requests between the stock rooms, storerooms, warehouses, and Supply Chain’s third-party vendor due to reported inventory variances. Reviews cycle count results and determines final steps to resolve inventory variances.    
  • Reviews and performs requested contract price changes by Supply Chain's third-party vendor.
  • Remediates daily pricing variances on purchase orders with Supply Chain's third-party vendor.
  • Reviews the accuracy of shipping issue invoices and credits generated by Supply Chain’s third-party vendor and forwards the accepted invoices and credits to the appropriate CTA AP/AR contacts for processing.  Works with CTA AP/AR to resolve any rejected invoices or credits received for processing.
  • Assists in responding to field inquiries regarding open orders.  Manages open order, back order, and new order inquiries and requests.
  • Monitors daily tank levels for all keep fill materials. 
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

  • Expediting parts and equipment to maximize revenue equipment availability and to meet service demands.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience relating to this position.
  • Experience in contract administration techniques, purchasing, warehousing, or financial analysis, preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time and constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Moving inside and outside warehouse, stockrooms located in Bus and Rail terminals.
  • Service Area Requirement: Exempt (Non-Union) employees must live within the boundaries of the CTA Statutory Service Area either at the time of employment or within 6 months of beginning employment at CTA.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • General knowledge of supply chain, inventory management and RF Scan Gun Technology and equipment preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment.

  • General office environment
  • Exposed to warehouse and Bus/Rail terminals conditions.

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, AND MATERIALS UTILIZED

  • Standard office equipment.
  • Personal computer and related software.
Employees and/or union members will be given priority consideration in the hiring process, per the applicable labor contracts.

Final salary will be determined in part by the qualifications of the selected candidate and may be higher or lower than target.
